Furncarve products are primarily handmade at small artisanal facilities in a traditional manner, in small batch quantities, or often as an individually made-to-order item if it is a part of our custom or bespoke program. Naturally – this means products may have variations between two items that may have been made in a separate batch or at a different time. Thus, minor imperfections are part of the patina for these products.

We want to share this with you so that you know what to expect and be proud of the uniqueness of your purchase. This is quintessential Furncarve and very much part of the DNA of us and our products. Several pieces in the line are also finished in a distressed or rustic style, and this style lends itself to showing off wood imperfections, distinct wood grains, and notches more readily than what a typical stain or finish would disguise. • • Mango Wood: The unique Memsahib’s Study Table is made of solid Mango wood. Mango wood is more durable than many other woods and the texture shows diverse and unique color patterns.
  • Handcrafted Pieces: Each piece is elaborately handcrafted and carved from natural wood. You’ll find asymmetrical and irregular designs through the hand-carved patterns, which give our pieces distinctive characteristics.
  • Natural Mango Wood: This is a natural product of Mango wood, making each piece unique. Knot holes, unevenness, and very minimal breaks or separations in the wood grain enhance the individuality of each piece.

  • We maintain a moisture content of 8-12% in our wood.
  • We do not use hard and harmful /Glossy chemical material on woods.
  • We use NC lacquer and water based sealer.

  • Excessive wetting of the fabric may result in permanent damage to the material.
  • Clean only with water-based shampoo or foam upholstery cleaner.

Wood:

• • Avoid placing it in direct sunlight and rain.
  • Wipe periodically and gently with a moist cloth.
  • Avoid using detergent and heavy cleansers.
